
Alexandra Rose Raisman, born May 25, 1994 she is an American retired artistic gymnast. She has also been a two-time Olympian. She was captain of the 2012 "Fierce Five" and the 2016 "Final Five" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics teams that were winners in their respective teams competitions.At the 2012 Olympics in London she won gold medals in the floor and team events, as well as the bronze medal for the balance beam, making her the most decorated American gymnast at the Games. She won a team gold medal during the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Gabby Douglas and Raisman are the only Americans to have back-to-back gold medals in this competition. Raisman also took home silver in the individual all-around and for floor exercise. She is the third-most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history, following Shannon Miller and Simone Biles who have won six Olympic medals.Raisman was also a member of the gold-winning American teams in the 2011 and 2015 World Championships, and the bronze medalist in the world championships on floor exercise in the year 2011. She was also a two time national champion in floor exercise (2012 and 2015) as well as the champion of the national team in balance beam in the year 2012. She also is five times a medalist at the all-around national championships (silver bronze, silver 2011 and 2012 and). In 2013 she was admitted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.
