
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco is an American professional soccer player. She plays as a striker and captains for San Diego Wave FC of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) which is the top division of women's soccer in the United States, and the United States women's national soccer team.She co-captained the United States women's national soccer team with Carli Lloyd and Megan rapinoe from 2018 until 2020. [8][99 Morgan was selected by the Western New York Flash at the top of the list in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had completed her studies at Berkeley in the early part of the year. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. There, she made her professional debut and helped the team win the league title. Morgan was 22 when she was picked to represent the team of the nation in the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011 which they won in second place. In the 123rd minute of the semi-final match against Canada during the 2012 London Olympics she scored the match-winning goal. She finished 2012 with 21 goals and 28 assists and was able to join Mia Hamm as the only American woman who scored 20 goals and record 20 assists within the same calendar year . making her the sixth youngest U.S. player to score 20 goals in one season. She was awarded the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year, and was a FIFA World Player of the The Year finalist. Morgan played a key role in helping the United States winning their titles at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups and the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cups. She was selected for the Dream Team and won the Silver Boot in 2019.
